Helpline

Our Helpline is for any woman affected by domestic violence or abuse, present or past.

Helpline hours are 10:00 - 15:00 Monday – Friday but we also have a 24 hour answerphone.

Our specialist team of female staff and volunteers are experienced and specifically trained to understand domestic abuse and the impact it has on you and your children. Sometimes our line may be busy and your call might be taken by our answer machine. This means that we are dealing with other calls so please do leave us a message as we will always call you back as long as you leave us a safe contact number in your message. When we call you back, our number will show up as withheld. This is for safety reasons.

What can you call us about?

Whether you need help, advice, or simply want someone to talk to, we’ll listen, understand and help you find a way through.

If you want to leave we can find safe accommodation for you and your children if you need it. This can either be in a refuge or another safe place. We can find out about spaces in other refuges throughout the country.

You can also call our helpline to ask about other domestic abuse services local to you – anywhere in Cornwall and beyond.

The Helpline is also here for professionals who may be supporting a women or a child experiencing domestic abuse. Whether you need advice or want to make a referral call, please use the number at the top of this page.
